Azizim: A Novel (Азизим: Роман) is the Russian-language edition of Guy de Maupassant’s celebrated novel Bel-Ami, a sharp and compelling portrait of ambition, social climbing, and the seductive power of wealth and influence. The story follows Georges Duroy, an ambitious young man in nineteenth-century Paris who uses charm, romantic relationships, and calculated manipulation to rise through the worlds of journalism and high society.
