Akmal Nur’s World of Images: Painting

Akmal Nur’s World of Images: Painting (Акмал Нур: Мир образов / Живопись) is a richly illustrated presentation of the work of Akmal Nur, one of Uzbekistan’s notable contemporary painters. Bringing together a selection of his paintings, the volume offers an evocative journey through an artistic world shaped by colour, symbolism, nature, cultural memory, and the visual heritage of Central Asia.

The reproductions reveal the distinctive character of Nur’s imagery, in which figurative subjects, ornamental motifs, landscapes, and abstract forms often come together in dreamlike compositions.
