Antiquities of Southern Uzbekistan

Several thousands kilometres separate the lands of two Oriental countries, Japan and Uzbekistan, for the territory of the Orient is huge. But it’s not because of this that the Orient is renowned. Extremely diversified is the rich artistic culture of its peoples, who have been since olden days connected by solid threads of socio – economic and spiritual intercourse. One of such historical connections that played an enormous civilizing role is the Great Silk Road, for centuries stretching from the country of the Rising Sun to Europe via Central Asia. And wherever it went along, there occurred and developed mutual enrichment of not only material values, but also wisdom and historical experiences.
