Azerbaijani Carpets: Ganja Group is a scholarly and richly illustrated book dedicated to the Ganja carpet group, one of the major regional schools of traditional Azerbaijani carpet weaving. The book documents carpets produced in and around the historic city of Ganja in western Azerbaijan, an important cultural and craft center with centuries-old weaving traditions.

The volume examines the distinctive artistic features of Ganja carpets, including their bold geometric compositions, strong central medallions, stylized motifs, and a characteristic palette dominated by deep reds, blues, ivory, and earthy tones. Special attention is given to symbolic elements—such as hooked forms, animal motifs, tree-of-life variations, and protective signs—that reflect ancient beliefs, everyday life, and the worldview of local weavers.
