Brilliantovyy Vek

The Diamond Age (Бриллиантовый век) is a poetry collection and philosophical-literary work by Ukrainian author Victoria Managarova, published in Kyiv in 2015 by Dmitry Burago Publishing House. Bringing together ten poems composed during July and August 2015 with an accompanying essayistic discussion of contemporary cultural thought, the book explores ideas of human transformation, creativity, and the possibility of a more harmonious future. Engaging with metamodernism and the author’s own developing concept of post-metamodernism, Managarova considers the role of optimism, compassion, and the “shades of goodness” in shaping a new understanding of human experience. Blending imaginative poetry with philosophical reflection, the volume presents an ambitious vision of literature as a means of rethinking contemporary values and imagining a world beyond conflict and suffering.
